So, I read a review on Where The Wild Things Are, which I went and saw last Saturday, and so thought I'd post my comments on the movie.

Personally, I absolutely adored it! Yes, it was a bit dark and all happy-go-lucky as the book, but hey, look how short the book is! They had to give the Wild Things much more depth, as in the book, well, there was not room for that, and without it the movie would not have been as impactful as it was.

Yes, the movie was dark and sad, and there were parts that might would frighten children, but I still do not know that I would say not to take your kids to see it. After all, I went with four of my two sisters' six kids, and all of them were paying attention the whole time, and really liked it!

I don't really know what all to say to not give away stuff, other than I adore this movie. They put so much into the Wild Things, each portraying a bit of Max's personality, especially Carol and Alexander.

In fact... I dunno, but I really connected with those two. I think I kind of see a lot of Max in myself, and so that made me really connect with the Wild Things. You guys may not see what I mean, but I sure do, and it has me so attached to this movie, it's insane.

In other words: Go see this damned movie!!
